Driver
A driver’s task is to operate effectively and safely the movement of motor vehicles, be they cars, motorcycles, trucks, or buses. A driver is trained and accomplished in one or more vehicle categories, and an appropriate licence type is needed in order to be allowed to drive on public roads.
Such a licence is granted based on a number of conditions and following a driving test being completed successfully. A driver needs to be aware of and to follow the road and traffic laws of the territory in which they are driving, including rules on the driving time and rest periods.
