Crane Operator

Crane operators are highly-skilled workers that are adept at manoeuvring lifting devices to move heavy objects. In so doing, they must be fully aware of their surroundings and the health and safety of other workers on site.

Cranes come in myriads of shapes and sizes, and for various purposes, including mobile cranes, tower cranes, boom trucks and self-erecting tower cranes. Crane types are characterised by their mobility, lift height, load rating, and reach length.
